Our Story

It was not too long ago, that I was on holidays with my girlfriend. We had a beautiful little apartment booked at the sea in Croatia and hoped to spend a couple of warm early summer days there. Unfortunately, as it so often happens in the world of finance, i had to work spontaneously and therefore ended up having an unintended Workation. 

Now, there I was sitting on the edge of our sofa staring at my laptop on the little lounge table. Being significantly slower with my work and with increasing unease in my back I thought:
"There has to be a better solution out there for people w
ho travel and want to work"

Unfortunately, shortly after, I realized, there really isn't - or should I say "wasn't"? People end up looking at Airbnb and hotel photos for ages trying to figure out if this provides an adequate working environment - and then they travel just to find out that the internet connection is far off from any standard. 

Then, a couple of months later, I went on another trip. Got there Sunday night, wanted to work Monday morning - but instead of coffee tabs for our coffee machine, I only found an empty bowl - and after I bought coffee and a couple of eggs for breakfast, I had to realize that while there was pepper, the salt and olive oil was empty. And the list of similar experiences goes on and on. 

As a believer of a modern working place with intrinsic motivation at the heart of any functioning team, efficient remote work on a global scale seems like a must, I told myself, that these are the basics that we need to fix so that both our employees and employers can enjoy workations and get the best out of it. 

This symbiosis between benefit to the employee and motivation on the other side seemed like the perfect way to move forward in a modern workplace with all its issues and uncertainties.
